This year, Ash Wednesday falls on Valentine’s day.
So if you’re Catholic, like me, you’re changing your recipe plans for Valentine’s day. Instead of the surf and turf dinner maybe a lobster, salad, crab enchiladas or a fondue with lots of fresh fruit, veggies and some seafood. I’ll be sharing these recipes soon.
Valentine’s Day ~ One day dedicated to the celebration of Love.
No matter where you’re at in life this needs to be a fun time.
Single ~ have a party with friends and have each person bring someone they know and aren’t interested in romantically. This way everyone gets to meet new people and make new connections. Or just go out with your friends and have a blast!
In a relationship ~ do something special with your significant other to show them how much they really mean to you.
Family ~ I often had more fun celebrating this day with my son than ever before! Seeing it all through his eyes. We did crafts, read, watched movies and cooked together.
What are your plans this year?
I’m actually going to be home alone this year and am planning a day of pampering and relaxation. Loving oneself is so beyond important! If you don’t love you, how can you truly love anyone else??
Big hugs and love~ Shellie
