A Word About Seasonal Affective Disorder

With the time change and the lack of sunshine during winter, many people become depressed. There are many people who are even more sensitive to this change, it’s a condition called Season Affective Disorder or SAD. I have it.  There are quite a few things you can do to combat this.

Take Melatonin.

Get  Outside in the Sun

Exercise ~ this will increase serotonin. Another element you get from the sun.

Get a Himalayan Glow Lamp  ~Not only helps with SAD, these also help ionize the air and promote healing.

Take Vitamin D

Get a Bright Light Therapy Lamp

Although not directly related to Seasonal Affective Disorder I have found getting involved helps me.

Volunteer.

Make plans with friends and family.

Donate your time to your local church, homeless shelter, food pantry or whatever makes you happy.

Hope this helps! Big hugs and love ~ Shellie
