Eating Healthy and Chronic Illness

So many people are living with chronic illness/pain. More and more than ever before due to all the chemicals and steroids added to our foods.

I believe that eating a healthy diet is beyond important. Especially for people with chronic illness. I know that changing my diet has helped to manage my Psoriatic Arthritis and Fibromyalgia.

Eating meats that are vegetarian fed, grass fed is soooo expensive. Though I did find some at Walmart for a decent price. Also, make sure its hormone free.

Fresh, healthy snacking. Veggies and fruits. Whole grain crackers. I also like to blend nuts and dried fruit to snack on.

I always add fresh cut peppers, veggies, fruit to my cheese boards whenever I entertain. I also make a small version for dinners.  Another thing I love is using squash or sweet potato with leftover meat to make a meal.

Avoid nitrates as a rule. Pepperoni, etc.  Bacon is notoriously high however there are alternatives. I also highly believe in all things in moderation. I use salami on my cheese trays as well as turkey

I also highly believe in all things in moderation. I use salami on my cheese trays as well as turkey. I love the Black Label bacon from Trader Joe’s.

Whole Wheat pasta, brown rice, etc.

Drink water! At least 6~8 glasses a day.

Hope this helps! Love and hugs ~ Shellie
