According to psychological studies having a pet significantly improves your health and well being.

According to various study findings, people with pets live longer, happier, healthier lives.   In the last 25 years, studies have shown that pet owners have lower blood pressure, less anxiety and increased immunity. They also increase self-esteem and help with depression. People with pets are happier and more relaxed.

At this time I have three cats, my dog Luxx, pictured above is no longer with us. No matter how bad my day, having my fur babies come up and want to play makes it better. When I’m flaring so bad I would gladly step out of my skin having them present and usually laying either right next to or on me helps a great deal. Petting them and listening to their purrs I find I can finally start to relax and breathe easier.
